The shelter home for children La Gavernera is another Andorran entity that keeps a regular collaboration with the Fundació Privada BPA since it was granted the Premi Solidaritat, an award which rewards solidarity initiatives which became part of the project of the Fundació in 2008.

The initial project in 2008 organized for a group of children aged between 6 and 17, placed under the care and shelter of 'La Gavernera' home, to stay in a recreational environment which encouraged them to socialize and allowed them to learn a foreign language. The Foundation has given continuity to this initiative in 2009 and 2010.

The Fundació Privada BPA and the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Employment reached an agreement to consolidate this summer holidays project abroad for the next five years.
